NEW PARTNERSHIP INKED AT MIPCOM BREATHES LIFE INTO VIEWER PARTICIPATION FORMATS
ionoco and Content Guru today announced their collaborative launch of an end-to-end technology product that will solve issues associated with viewer participation TV and allow producers to develop new television formats. The product is called ionostorm™ ,a unique new end-to-end mass viewer participation solution for game shows and quizzes, competitions, call TV, voting, real-time opinion polling and much more.
ionostorm combines Content Guru’s storm™, the Deloitte-audited mass interactive communications platform, with ionoco’s graphics technology, which provides both visually stunning and robust 3D on-screen graphics presentation and matrix™ – the 100% tamper-proof gaming and competition entry system.
Viewer participation TV offers a vital source of revenue for broadcasters and production companies, whose traditional income base is under threat. Last year saw many companies suffer damaged reputations, the loss of viewer trust and hefty fines when stories of viewer deception emerged.
This is the first time two such powerful technologies have come together and the resulting ionostorm will not only address existing compliance issues but, just as importantly, will provide producers and broadcasters with vast new creative possibilities to integrate viewer participation into formats.
