IONOCO DOUBLES IN SIZE WITH NEW APPOINTMENTS
Broadcast technology company, ionoco announces today the addition of two senior people to its fast-expanding team. The appointments of Will Arrowsmith as developer and Rachel Charlton as finance manager will mean that the company has doubled in size since its launch in April this year.
Arrowsmith has many years’ experience in software development with Microsoft and retailer Torex. He joins ionoco’s growing team of developers delivering the company’s renowned computer systems for TV game shows, channels and interactive TV and will also work on expanding the company’s portfolio of broadcast technologies. Charlton has eight years’ experience in the finance sector and was previously finance manager in a leading UK legal practice.
ionoco’s growth is attributed to the cost-effectiveness of its product range, thanks to the flexibility and configurability of its proprietary software, ionologic. This growth has been spurred by the team’s pursuit of innovative solutions for new formats and the continuous development of ground-breaking technologies including ionostorm, matrix and Web2TV.
The team’s expansion enhances ionoco’s ability to meet the requirements of production companies in rolling out major formats worldwide. As the preferred technology supplier for Fremantle’s hit game show format, ionoco is currently rolling out Million Dollar Password worldwide. Other recent projects include 20Q for Endemol.
ionoco is currently working with numerous production companies and channels to develop and deliver new programming, and is also making ground in new areas, particularly the broadcast gaming sector.
Simon Ingram, CEO & co-founder of ionoco says, “Production companies are approaching us to develop technologies to support new and sometimes increasingly complex formats and it’s a really exciting place to be. We’re uniquely positioned to rapidly provide competitively priced solutions based on our highly configurable and flexible platform ionologic. The additions of Will and Rachel to the team further enhance our ability to offer the professional and flexible service that our clients require.”
The company is also set to grow internationally with the expansion of its operations in Los Angeles early next year.
