IONOCO TO POWER 20Q FOR ENDEMOL USA
ionoco, the international broadcast technology company, has been chosen to power the US production of Endemol USA’s new game show format 20Q, which is airing across the US on the Game Show Network. The deal sees ionoco US provide full technology support for game play functionality of the show.
Based on deductive reasoning and creativity to answer a series of questions, 20Q is a game show adaptation of the popular handheld toy and internet sensation, in which studio contestants and a computer called “Q” battle to be the first to guess an item’s identity in twenty questions or fewer. The seamless, self-contained computer systems provide bespoke design and configuration for the game show, delivering graphics templates and sound effects in a ready-to-go package.
Chris Goss, Founder and CTO of ionoco says: Together with Endemol USA we’re showing how simple formats seamlessly delivered with our technology can create innovative and exciting programming.”
Rob Smith, SVP Programming of Endemol USA comments: “We’ve used ionoco for a variety of our shows and they have a long-standing reputation of providing terrific graphics capabilities and delivery from the show’s initial concept right through to each and every episode.”
ionoco recently announced the opening of their US office in LA following deals to provide graphics technologies to major hit game shows in the region such as Million Dollar Password (Fremantle Media/Triple Threat Productions USA), Deal or No Deal (Lock & Key Productions) and Dance Your Ass Off (495 Productions).
